Bitcoin is a safe haven from Govt’s - Not from economic crisis

Bitcoin is a LONG TERM safe haven from governments and monetary policy, not short term economic crisis.

BTC has had a bad week price wise that coincides with the coronavirus and stock market corrections. This is to be expected, while not pleasant. Right now BTC is very speculative and assets in this category can and will fall faster in the case of these quick economic and stock market pull backs.

I’d use this time to buy more and not try and time the bottom.

This is good for Bitcoin.

Bitcoin gives me a purpose in life

Honestly my social life is pretty much non existent and I feel like I'd be very bored without bitcoin. I've spent so much time reading stuff and watching videos of bitcoin and it always kept me entertained and interested.

It's something to look forward to in the future as adoption increases. Without it, I think I'd find life sort of mediocre and a bit pointless (not depressed).

Terrible deception by ANTPOOL!!! Solo mining BTC. Help pls.

I want to share with you a story about my BTC mining experience with Antpool.
I decided to try my luck and worked in solo mode from late October to 12-12-2019 on this pool.
12-12-2019 my equipment (s9k) found the block.
Which I was very happy about.
But antpool doesn't like to part with BTC.
And he likes to play without rules.
All correspondence with the support I will leave here.
Why didn't I write so long?
Despite the fact that in December I did not believe that there was a technical failure.
And this failure occurred just when my equipment found the block.
And how unlucky I am that it was my account that found the block, unexpectedly received pplns status instead of solo.
Although nowhere was there any announcement that there was an update, except for personal correspondence with me there was no.
Imagine how many people who trust this pool can get into such a terrible situation.
BUT. I wanted to make sure antpool was telling the truth.
To do this, I had to raise my pool. In this I was helped by GitHub (namely miningcore).
And now I can say 100%.
I checked with another coin, mining it in solo (litecoincash). When the equipment finds the block information is instantly displayed in the device and on the pool. There's no mistake.
Accordingly antpool. It's a liar. And thieves.
I ask everyone who can help me achieve justice in this matter.
I came to the company antpool in the hope that it is a large and good brand.
I was wrong.
But I'm sure this isn't about the company's leadership. And it's about dishonest employees who like to deceive people.
With hope for justice
Antony.
P.S. Antpool, you know how to contact me, user [shepp777@mail.ru](mailto:shepp777@mail.ru). Just return the stolen reward as soon as possible.
P.P.S. All those who are engaged in mining-be vigilant. We still have a long way to go to real and honest work.
P.P.P.S. See also the video with subtitles. Everything is shown there.

I'm an idiot, maybe?

I've fully gone off the rockers, I fear.
Today I took a bank loan, with which to buy BTC.
Currently I have ~700 disposable income per month (that is, the remainder after bills, food, etc). Repayments on the loan will take ~220 of that.
The loan is 3.9% APR, which will result in me paying back 6% more than I borrowed, in total.
I see it kinda like a DCA but I buy all the BTC cheaper (assuming it will grow over the next few years).
If BTC falls to 0, it won't cause me any financial trouble. Just less cash for toys.
If BTC goes up by more than 6% in the next couple years, I win. So, am I an idiot?

Holy cow lightning is fast!

Finally gave it a try. I had no idea! Seconds. Maybe just one second because by the time I switched to the wallet it had confirmed.

Sorry if this is just a fluff post but I’m so amazed I just had to post it.

Only took me a few moments to realize the difference (was confused at first) about making an invoice for an amount. So you’re requesting an amount, not just sending an address.

Whatever. Damn, this is cool.
