PINE64 Used for mining?

A friend who is interested in investing in several antminer units started talking to me about bitcoin mining. It seems very interesting. I have been reading about it all morning but obviously still I am not very knowledgeable. I could be completely wrong but this recent kickstarter unit looks like it could either handle mining itself, or be able to run an array of usb block erupters similar to the raspberry Pi. With 500mhz graphics processing power it seems like it could run mining programs on its own through Ubuntu, but again I am not an expert. Would this be a good 15 dollar investment for getting into the hobby? I am a college student so electricity is free. Thanks
