Argentinian family quality of life improved after a 15-minute conversation about bitcoin.

Up until yesterday, the extent of my involvement in bitcoin has been investing in a few coins and discussing it with friends, family, and colleagues. My experience with those discussions reeks with hollow curiosity. Out of about 50 or so people that I talked to only 4 became interested enough invest time and money into bitcoin. To get my friends and colleagues interested in bitcoin it took rigorous explaining of what I think bitcoin is, referencing bitcoin reddit, and periodically sending videos and articles. In most cases this was not enough. Based on my experience it seems people in the US do not have enough incentive to get involved. The lack of enthusiasm about bitcoin among my American friends and family is disheartening, and that is the reason why I wanted to share my experience. I ran into an Argentinian acquaintance of mine after not seeing him for three years. After catching up for a bit he told me about his sister who is struggling to make investments with the family fortune her father left behind. What's worse, She can not easily send money from Argentina to the US. He said they use to send money to Paraguay and Uruguay and then to the US, but the banks have also blocked that. Long story short their family fortune is disappearing and after a brief 15 minute discussion about bitcoin he thinks they can save it. He was obliged to sign up at coinbase and Unisend. His excitement was palpable, and it rekindled my spirit and enthusiasm for bitcoin. I'm now certain more than ever that bitcoin is the future of money. Has anybody else become disenchanted with bitcoin because friends and family aren't interested? How can I become more involved with helping those who need bitcoin? via /r/Bitcoin http://bit.ly/1fYwF5a
