I've tried mining on a P2POOL node and with the latency down low I'm getting fairly good results. In comparison the network has a pretty low hash rate so after running a week I got a fairly decent pay out compared to earnings on say AntPool or CKpool. But as the pool is small the time between the last few blocks has been fairly long.
Reading up it appears that eventually one should earn more from p2pool compared to the other pools but variance is much higher.
So in the long run is it better to ride the variance and just mine for say 12 months?
How many people here regularly mine p2pool?
