How I convinced 10 people where I work to use bitcoin

I work at a major bank in the US. The entire cleaning crew are from Mexico and send money there frequently. Of them 2 speak English fluently enough to hold a conversation with.

So I asked them what the fees were to send, say $100 to Mexico. They responded that it was about $5-10 to send, plus they had to wait a bit to get it. So, I bought up bitcoin. I told them that for pennies or less, they could transfer money to their families in seconds, and have spendable money in minutes with no lines at a building. They thought it was too good to be true until I sent one of them a quarter. It just clicked with them. Without asking, they realized what was going on: near instant money transfer where distance is irrelivant.

They all use it now. Their families use it, and one of the people whose wife still lives in Mexico owns a shop and also accepts it.

If you have people that frequently send money overseas or across country borders, tell them about bitcoin. It saves these guys a lot each month.

I had to use a throwaway here because I work for a bank. They are not too friendly with BTC yet, but I'm slowly introducing them to it.
