I have a lingering feeling, that while bitcoin has its challenges, many of the ETF commenters are bitter they did not "discover" or "invested" in bitcoin much earlier.
If I where a CS graduate and always dismissed bitcoin, now saw it climbing from cents per bitcoin to whatever it is now, I sure would feel stupid. It should have been my core expertise to see how big this can get.
Of course, it is easier to keep shouting "flawed" "corrupt" "ponzi" than facing your own narrow minded belief system. This is a completly new category and doesnt easily fit a prior curved out box.
I know this first hand from otherwise respectable and kind people: I do have programmer friends that always shouted "the banks will kill it" "the USA will never allow this to become huge" - YEARS ago! Well. 10k%+ gain later, industrywide respect for the protocol and millions of invested VC money they now look quite narrow minded and silly.
I try not to rub it in - bad for karma and as I said in the beginning: We are not over all challenges yet.
