1. It has high yield. For example half a potato in the ground can produce 4-5 potatoes in a few months. 500% yield
2. There are no taxes on food you grow and eat yourself
3. Growing food and selling it is a great way to kick start a local bitcoin economy
4. The coming bitcoin softfork is called Taproot
