Please explain how 2.5 billion liquidations can affect the BTC Price when the market cap is 1 trillion? That's 0.2% of it. Why is everyone mentioning cascade liquidations crashed the price yesterday?

Is there something I don't understand? May be how the price forms is irrelevant of its market cap and even 0.2% cascade liquidations can drop it 20%?
