If you’ve learned how the bitcoin protocol works, I need your help.

Good day!

Bitpy is a project I’ve been working on in the last couple of weeks. Its main goal is to provide tools which will allow users to interact with every aspect of the Bitcoin protocol. I want people to be able to construct their own messages, scripts, keys, transaction etc.

This project is aimed at those who wish to improve their understanding of the Bitcoin protocol and I hope that it will help them to mitigate the steep learning curve.

I try to document the project progress on my blog and provide some basic videos, codes and screenshots that will, hopefully, might be useful for the community.

But now, when I look at a list of all the things that I want to implement and improve, I find it very hard to prioritize. So I’ve created a short video demonstration of some of the features that are already integrated into it, and I’m hoping that the some of you might have some feedbacks.

The splitting of ETH/ETC will be seen as a seminal even in the history of Bitcoin.

seminal - an event strongly influencing later developments.

This messy hard fork has clarified the role and importance of Bitcoin.

  • Ethereum as a reliable store of value is dead.
  • Until Bitcoin (and yes, it will be Bitcoin) attains a market capitalization in the trillions of dollars, the most important utility of the entire crypto currency space will be to act as a sponge for capital.
  • The really interesting smart contract applications require a huge, stable capital base.

http://bit.ly/2aoKOsK Bitcoiners, I wrote this article to educate and prevent at least one more person from putting their money into OneCoin. I tried to write everything as simply as possible since those that fall for OneCoin are those that are not familiar with bitcoin or blockchain at all. So if you know anyone that might be looking into OneCoin you can link them this and hopefully they'll have a better idea of what OneCoin really is. via /r/Bitcoin http://bit.ly/2aoIXE8

What are the best bitcoin exchanges and why do you use them?

Hi there, I'm looking for a range of cryptocurrency and/or bitcoin exchanges. I've been in and out of the bitcoin space since 2013, and I can guarantee you that I'm amazed by the phenomenal increase of places to buy / sell bitcoin and altcoins. There's no real list out there to use so I'd say I'm better off asking this here. If you have the time, please mention why do you use the bitcoin exchange and what issues have you had with it (or heard of)? via /r/Bitcoin http://bit.ly/2aAMZsT

(serious) We should start our own independent nation, we have the capital.

At this point I think the crypto community has matured greatly and we can have some real sway in the world, but we are still being prosecuted by overbearing governments for no reason.

With the capital we now command we are able to secede from our governments and start our own nation.

We could start with one island such as this for example: http://bit.ly/2aFPGvE *note this is just an example

5400 acres for $2.2 million. I know a lot of people will say that you can't just buy some land from a country and be an independent nation but here's the thing. Look at how bureaucratic and backwards some governments are if we raised around the approximate amount the dao raised I'm sure a lot of countries would allow us to break off and become an independent nation.

Once we are an independent nation we would become a hub for not just crypto enthusiast but entrepreneurs and start ups everywhere.

I know many people have been dreaming of something like this becoming a reality, what I'm trying to get across is this doesn't have to be a dream anymore we have the power to make it a reality.

What do all of you think of this?

What's an easy to use, secure wallet?

Looking to get back into Bitcoin. Can't use a full-size client anymore due to limited space left on my SSD as well as data caps by my ISP.I want something secure where I don't have to worry about a simple web exploit/keylogger causing me to lose all my funds. I also don't want to spend too much on any physical hardware.Right now all I have hardware wise is a gaming PC, and a phone. I know that using a computer connected to the internet or with other applications installed isn't very secure. Is there are cheap, reliable solutions where I can shop with Bitcoin as well as hold some, without having to fear getting my Bitcoins stolen through social engineering/scammers/hackers? via /r/Bitcoin http://bit.ly/2aSNT2H
