Me and a couple buddies room together and we are genuinely interested in bitcoin and other cryptos. We thought mining would be cool to invest in as a hobby and might pay off such as paying out rent or some other smaller bills. I am the most technical savvy but have never really ventured into this territory, and I was wondering if it would truly be worth it knowing all the risks and such. Also, if we do get into mining would it be better to build a GPU miner or buy an ant miner? Any help is appreciated.
We are willing to spend a couple grand between the 4 of us.
