I've built a sound baffling box for my ASICs. They are Z9 Minis but they principle would apply to SHA-256 ASICs too.
-20db at 10cm distance
-10db at 1m distance
Without the box I can hear the machine throughout every room of my flat, with the box I can only hear it in the same room (there is more to silencing than just the decibel scale).
An interesting finding is that the ASIC runs cooler and the fan spins slower than when its outside of the box. I had anticipated the opposite effect as assumed the length of the ducting would add airflow resistance and force the miner to increase fan speed.
