I think I understand how mining works (the concept behind it and the hashing steps) and Have no problem mining using cgminer but now I'm curious. I've installed a btc node and have found the option "submitblock" and now I'm super curious. Is submitblock the final step in the mining process? does a miner at the end of each hashing submit a hex encoded block to the pool that then sends it to the node via the submitblock ? What is the role of BTC nodes in the mining process? Has anyone here some examples of the final step of the mining process or the communications between miners and BTC "network"?
