Poll: we should speak less about the "price" of bitcoin and more about the "value" of bitcoin.

E.g. say "bitcoin is currently valued at.." or "the value of one bitcoin is currently ... " or "one bitcoin currently has a value of ..." or "bitcoin might increase in value if ..." rather than use the word "price", which implies btc as some sort of commodity or stock.

We don't talk about the "price" of the yen or the GBP, so why digital currencies?

Edit - since there's apparently some confusion over what I mean by this I should clarify:

When you talk about milk, you say it has a price of $1 per litre. When you talk about iron ore, you say it has a price of $100 a tonne.

But when you talk about the British Pound. You talk about the value of the GBP in terms of other currencies. You say one GBP is valued at 1.40USD. You don't talk about the "price" of the GBP. This is because the pound is a currency, and currencies have values, not prices.

Therefore we should keep this in mind and remember that BTC is a legitimate currency, in fact the seventh largest currency on the planet. Talking about "price" carries with it a lot of negative implications that I don't think help to promote the cause.

Just putting it out there.

Price is the amount of money paid by the buyer to the seller in exchange for any product and service.

Cost is the amount incurred on the different inputs that you need to use for producing any product.

Value is the usefulness of any product to a customer; in other words, the value is what your customer believes the product or service is worth to them
