Shower thought on an Andreas talking point.

Here's the sound byte that had me thinking: (https://youtu.be/ieP8kxaklUk?t=45m59s)

This is almost a little dystopian-sounding/ultra ridiculous, but I found it interesting the more I thought about it. Maybe it could make for an interesting book or movie?

What if every person was eventually represented by their own crypto-currency and that was essentially your "stock"? People could invest in and technically buy shares of you. This value would basically create a new kind of caste system sitting on the blockchain. This wouldn't only apply to celebrities like Andreas is referring to here. It could also apply to everyday people.

Individuals could invest in others' with bright futures in the hopes that their "stock" would eventually rise. You could invest in your neighbour who just applied to Harvard, in the hopes that he gets accepted and his personal value rises. You could take out a short position on your co-worker who has been slacking at work lately and you feel they may lose their job. You could play the "penny stocks" and buy into a few YouTubers you think may become the next big pop star. People may try to manipulate markets by short selling a friend's stock before leaking the fact that they cheated on their significant other over summer holidays.

On top of this, your market cap may affect how you're treated in your daily life.

-"Sorry, you're not allowed into the club tonight. It seems your value has dropped since last weekend when you incorrectly whipped and nay-nayed after one too many shots. The value of Fred has been plummeting all week."

-"Right this way sir. Your value is way up since you killed that karaoke track at the office Christmas party on Tuesday and you secured that big promotion a few weeks ago. It seems your whole office has been buying stock in Steve!"
