Advocates of Anonymity — what's your big picture?

I've read your calls and outcries for an anonymous bitcoin. To you, pseudonymity isn't enough, and the subtext is usually along the lines of "outside government control", freedom and libertarian mottoes.Never once have I heard hints towards a bigger picture: how a society would function in which all flow of capital were totally opaque.How would for instance taxation take place?
