I run a website that buys and sells virtual goods for online games. The biggest game we support is CSGO. The economy is quite big on CSGO, and the items can be resold for real money at fairly high prices.
Our website is hooked up to Bitpay. We traditionally just deliver once the transactions are broadcast to the Blockchain. Over the past year, we've never had a problem with this policy, until tonight. Someone managed to orchestrate a bunch of double spends to us, and not even for large amounts. They purchased CSGO items each time.
Hoping the community can be weary that this is going on for amounts as small as $20-30. Also wondering, is this attack easy to pull off? This guy seemed to be able to double spend without risking the transaction sent to us.
