Mining altcoins free power.

Hey everyone, excuse my ignorance during this post.

I have been tinkering in my free time and managed to make solar/wind genorators out of old scrap I found just for fun and managed to get it to run my PC.

I have always been interested in cryptocurrency but never looked into it much. I saw a Bitmain Antminer S1 that I was thinking of buying just to mine some of the small altcoins with my free electricity. I'm a tinkerer and understand this will most probably make me no money and I'm fine with that, but was curious if it is possible to mine any altcoin with the Bitmain Antminer S1?
