On August 1st 2017 B(itcoin) Cash forked off and continued the way they wanted - with bigger blocks. More importantly though, The UASF or BIP148 was also scheduled to start on this day. Regardless if you like BIP148 or not, this is an important event in Bitcoin's history. We proved that users have the final say and not miners. We proved that we wouldn't let a few parties dictate Bitcoin's future and we got SegWit, without the hard fork (SegWit2x) in November. All of this is thanks to us.
