Hey guys, sorry for the basic post, I was just looking for help. I have been following bitcoin and mining for a little over two years, and have invested in buying coin a few months ago when it hit it's low (380). I now want to use some of my profit to get into mining. I have been on the fence about buying a rig for over a year (I have no power costs since all my utilities are included).
I wanted to buy an antminer, but don't know what would be best and haven't gotten much help from customer service. The math just doesn't seem to make sense to me. If I bought an Antminer S7-LN (power supply included), it would cost about 291$ for 2.7TH/s of hash for each unit. --2700/291 = 9.28$ per H/s
If I bought the Antminer S7 B19, it would cost 440$ plus the power supply (140$) for a total of 580$ to run 4.7TH/s. --4700/580 = 8.10$ per H/s
If I bought the Antminer S9, it will run 12.93 TH/s for 2085$, plus the power supple (140$) for a total of 2125$. --12930/2125 = 6.08$ per H/s
Is this understanding correct? Because if I bought 5 Antminer S7-LNs, it would cost 1455$, but I would have 13.5 TH/s. This seems like a better deal than getting one S9 for 700$ more. Am I missing something?
