In times like these, recall the wise words of economic "experts" (Paul Krugman, etc.) ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-H8LRHG1hc&feature=youtu.beThese are the "experts" that are driving the Great Experiment. Time to call bullshit. The core issue, at scale, is trust. Both trust in individuals and, more importantly, institutions. Institutions that have shown, time and time again, that they'll abuse their special privilege for personal gain. And that personal gain comes, indirectly, at the cost of real human suffering among the populace.Dropping bombs from 20,000 feet is not like slitting a man's throat up close. At night, the bomber sleeps like a baby; the soldier tosses and turns, faced with the impact and humanity of his actions. Objectively, the outcome is just as "real". The bomber's conscience is shielded by the distance (scale); his ego protected by his ignorance. The institution inflicts financial suffering, disguised by the complexity of an inter-connected global economy. Financial suffering begets real conscious suffering. The greater the scale, the greater the "complexity" and the removal, or "distance", between a specific action and the real suffering it inflicts. At scale, such institutions are objectively anti-social.Bitcoin address trust at scale. It is social. It is the citizen's "secret weapon", to defend against the power, privilege and destructive of institutions at scale. Institutions that, while more privileged than individuals, lack the capacity to experience pain and suffering. Institutions that, at scale, incentivize behavior that is destructive, and that distributes "guilt" sufficiently to appease men's ego. via /r/Bitcoin http://bit.ly/28TcEcs
