Mycelium adds support for KeepKey. iOS wallet back on the market.

Continuing its support for all the best and newest bitcoin hardware, Mycelium Wallet has just released an update that adds support for the KeepKey hardware wallet. KeepKey is a secure hardware bitcoin (and altcoin) wallet that generates and stores your private keys on the hardware device itself. The private keys never leave the security of the device. To send bitcoin, Mycelium Wallet creates a transaction, sends it to the KeepKey device over a USB cable, KeepKey asks you to verify and confirm the address, and once you do, signs the transaction right on the device and send it back to your Mycelium Wallet to be broadcast. Because the private keys never leave the device, there is no risk of theft from infected or compromised smartphones or computers. With this addition to the wallet, Mycelium now supports all three of the popular bitcoin hardware wallets, Trezor, Ledger, and KeepKey (even at the same time).

In other news, after an extensive review of our iOS wallet, and fixing some of the issues that we were concerned about, we have released our iOS wallet back on the Apple AppStore. With our recent internal change in how we plan to go forward, our iOS wallet will continue to be supported and developed. More information on that will be released a bit later.
