Ages back Hal Finney posted about using TPM chips (trusted platform modules) to secure Bitcoin wallets. For those who don't know about this -- apparently these chips allow for information like encryption keys to be stored securely within memory where cryptographic operations can then be done without leaking any information to the OS (just like a regular hardware wallet does.)Since these chips are already part of numerous laptops and mobile devices -- it would be like having access to a secure hardware wallet in countless devices (see availability) and I don't need to argue how good that would be for most Bitcoin users.Have any wallets ended up making use of this chip yet? It seems like a very good idea. via /r/Bitcoin http://bit.ly/2bSFMD5
