Seriously though, it's totally f'd that they're going after Julian Assange for being a journalist and whistleblower. He's basically trying to prove the same point that a lot of us are trying to prove. The only difference is that he is vocal about it and managed to touch a delicate spot, which is why he might be locked up FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. Get informed!
Edit: if you donate to defend.wikileaks.org, do so with caution. As was pointed out by fellow redditors, the affiliation of the site does not sound too trustworthy: "The Courage Foundation is overseen by an unrenumerated committee of trustees. Assange, Snowden and Ulbricht are screwed unfortunately. They won't get a fair trial.
