I've been doing some reading about the SHA256 hashing algorithm (as well as scrypt and x11) but I can't seem to find how they are applied to mining. Obviously hashing/encryption is taking place, but what is being hashed? How do other machines recognize the hashed values?
Where can I go to get an in depth explanation of the hashing/mining process? Is there pseudo code available...should I just dissect cgminer?
