Best Miner hardware?

Hello,

I was wondering what is the difference between mining etherium, BTX and bitcoin?

And what exactly is the difference between mining hardware, and why wouldnt I be able to use any particular mining hardware to mine any other, for example, would antminer help me mine any other cryptocurrency other than bitcoin?
