Hope this sub isn't completely dead.
I just ordered a couple of S9's and will be running them here in northern freedom land. Each will have its own dedicated breaker. My question is, will my 15A 120V breakers be able to handle them without tripping?
Someone who mined with them before told me no, but by my calculations it's a Yes.
I'll be running each one through an EVGA 1600W supply. Since the S9's only draw ~1400W, the PSU will only draw 1400 from the breaker. The breakers each provide 1440 watts:
(120v * 15A = 1800w)*.80% = 1440w
We use an 80% load rule here so that's what the breakers are set to unless you use some kind of 'continuous 'breakers or simply swap em out for higher amperage.
That's my only question for now, thanks in advance!
