Crypto media: rotten to the core

First of all, throwaway account because I don't want my media contacts to know who I am..

The reason I post this, is because I would like the cryptomedia to change. Become objective, report news instead of pumping own holdings. I have been in contact over the past year with many journalists and websites. The one thing that bothers me most, money can get you everything!!!

In a world of crypto where idealists aim for a fair and transparent financial world, the media has been all but fair and transparent. It is known some media companies hold cryptocurrencies, which is a bad thing to start with.

Example: Write a press release and send it to cointelegraph, newsbitcoin, bitcoinmagazine, bitcoinist, cryptocoinnews, coindesk, and others, and pay a fee for publishing. It will be published with a note that it is a press release. Write any journalist, offer 40-150 Euro and they will write your press release and make one of these websites publish it as news. Even worse, pay the website a little more and they will publish a press release as news without noting that it is a press release.

In a world where we are looking for financial freedom and such, we allow media to be even more rotten than mainstream media. I have contacted the media with real big news and they refused to write about it, but offered to do it for money. For other currencies I have had shitty news and pump articles published as real news by just paying a journalist. I no longer want to do this! Change the cryptoworld together into a transparent and honest world. The media plays a huge role in the adoption of cryptocurrencies and this lying will only turn people away from us.

This might not only be about bitcoin, but it has to do a lot with bitcoin. Bitcoins reputation is being negatively influenced by this because cryptocurrencies will be seen more as scams.

I would like to hear your stories about your experience with the so called news websites and journalists. Here a list of known rotten news websites that I personally have experience with: Cointelegraph Bitcoinmagazine Cryptocoinnews Newsbitcoin Coindesk Bitcoinist Coinidol Coin News Asia BTCmanager

Journalist.. I don't want to publicly shame them. I hope they will realise this themselves.

Change the media, share the news!

Tldr; pay a journalist/website and they will publish your press release as "news"
